The one thing that’s consistent with high school basketball is the fact that nothings consistent. Changes are the norm, so expect for a lot of them this year. With June being the month for high school basketball, and Section 7 being one of the month’s biggest exposure events, we take a look at 2025’s with the most to gain from Section 7.
Tremayne Anderson
HEIGHT 6'6"
POS SF
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Las Vegas
A skilled big man will always catch the attention of coaches and scouts. The 6’7 Anderson has the ability to handle out on the floor. He has good vison and should be one of the better playmakers at the 4 spot. If he can score the ball from the inside, Section 7 will provide the perfect opportunity for him to showcase his versatile offensive ability.
Highlights
Ladanian Ivery
HEIGHT 5'9"
POS PG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Centennial
Club: IBC
The lefty is a Pitbull defender, who will be called on to operate the Bulldogs offense. Ivery has the ability to succeed in an up-tempo game, because of his speed, quick hands and penetration ability.
Nick Jefferson
HEIGHT 6'2"
POS PG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Bishop Gorman
Club: Vegas Elite
Jefferson is coming off a State title, however memories of his last two section 7’s are probably fresh in his minds. Two years ago he burst onto the scene with some big time performances that let to Gorman victories. Last year, in his first full season of being the man, the Gaels struggled, going 1-3. This season, the D1 recruit, has an opportunity to catipult his recruiting with a strong showing during the event in Phoenix.
Highlights
Kingston Carmona
HEIGHT 6'2"
POS SG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Bishop Gorman
Club: Prominent Elite
Carmona has a lot to gain this week. Expect for the Gorman senior to receive perhaps the most significant playing time of his career. His got some offensive skill, so don’t be surprised to see him get hot. He also possess good explosion, so don’t be surprised to see him perform the spectacular above the rim.
Prince Davis
HEIGHT 5'10"
POS PG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Desert Pines
Club: Vegas Elite Premiere
There’s a couple of categories that Davis is underrated in, including shooting. Section 7 will provide the perfect opportunity for him to showcase that skill. One of the state’s top snipers has the ability to get hot and rack up consecutive threes. Doing it on this stage will go a long way in shedding that sleeper status.
Zak Abdalla
HEIGHT 6'2"
POS SG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Foothill
Perhaps no player has more to prove than the scoring guard from Foothill. Abdalla is a quick shooter who excels in the lost art of the mid range. He’s going to have 4 opportunities to but up massive scoring numbers. Darkhorse scoring leader candidate from at the event.
Highlights
Jaden Riley
HEIGHT 6'1"
POS PG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Liberty
Club: Hard 2 Guard
Im really excited to see what Riley does. He’s been consistently good throughout his career, including a successful freshman season at Bonanza. After sitting out because of a transfer, he got his legs under him last season at Liberty. Expect the floor spacing, playmaker to put on a strong showing in what could be a prelude to a breakout season.
Zaccarrion Jackson
HEIGHT 6'1"
POS SG
CLASS 2025
State: Nevada
School: Mojave
One of the best defensive players in the state added to his offensive game last year. Mojave is expected to have one of the state’s most talented squads at Section 7, which should allow Jackson the opportunity to excel on either end.
