🥘 Ingredients

Air fryer jalapeno slices are incredibly easy to make! All you need is jalapenos, an egg and breadcrumbs.

You can also add any seasoning you like. I add paprika and garlic powder, but you can omit these or substitute with your favorite spices.

🔪 Instructions

Slice jalapenos into thin circles.

Crack an egg into a bowl, and whisk to combine.

In another bowl, add the breadcrumbs. Add any seasoning you'd like, such as paprika, garlic powder or taco seasoning.

Use a fork to dip the jalapeno slices into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumbs to coat them.

When all the jalapenos are prepared, preheat an air fryer to 200°C/390°F. Add the jalapenos, and air fry them for about 3-6 minutes, shaking them once halfway through the cook time.

Serve the breaded air fryer jalapeno slices immediately while they are hot and crispy.

💭 Top tips

  • Your air fryer might cook the jalapeno slices faster or slower than the time suggested, so keep an eye on them. They are done when the breading is golden and crunchy.
  • Try different seasoning to change the recipe up a bit: garlic powder, onion powder, ranch seasoning, taco seasoning and cumin could be good options. Alternatively, make the jalapeno slices without any seasoning!

🥗 Serving suggestions

Breaded jalapeno slices are best served as a snack, preferably with a good dip like this homemade ranch dip.

I love adding this to a grazing table, or as a quick and easy part of a potluck or buffet. Alternatively, you can use these in a salad instead of croutons!

🍲 Leftovers

Leftover air fryer jalapeno slices can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a day. Keep in mind that the breading will slightly soften.

I highly recommend serving them immediately, while they are crispy and warm.
